Northcote Primary School , Liverpool
Miss Scott (Bursar) contacted us on behalf of Mr Morgan (Headteacher) to invite us to quote for new signage at their school Northcote Primary. We agreed a date to meet them to discuss their requirements. On arrival it was evident that the current signage had been in place a long time with faded paintwork and missing lettering, which did not do the impressive school grounds justice.
During our initial meeting we discussed the colour and quality issues of the
current signage, which did not match the schools new branding. Our challenge was to propose a new signage solution that would match the school's new colours and identity that were already in place on their website and uniform. During the meeting we presented our school signs catalogue to help give Mr Morgan a better idea of the sign options available to the school with photos and guide prices, we also discussed colour options by matching paint and vinyl swatches to Northcote’s colours and also presented examples of the materials that would be used. With a number of the signs being installed at height we had to organise hire of access equipment to install the signage safely by our IPAF trained installers.
Mr Morgan chose to proceed with our Delta Deluxe family of signs which included 2x freestanding signs along the perimeter fencing and a wall sign for directing visitors to the main entrance. The Delta products being completely made from aluminium enabled the signage to be powder coated to a specific RAL to match the schools colours. Individual flat cut letters were also chosen for the large gable end of the nursery entrance along with a Deluxe wall tray for above the main entrance. Mr Morgan also asked us to sign up their school mini bus with their new branding to help advertise the school as it drives around Liverpool.
Going The Extra Mile
Design and overall look were very important to Mr Morgan and his team and we worked very hard in turning around visuals for all the signage within a tight deadline. All the designs were superimposed into position and to scale to help Mr Morgan visualise exactly how all the signage would look when installed. Our design team also came up with a nice little finishing touch of locating the school logo off the surface of the signs to give the signage a little more impact, we think you will agree that this little touch really finishes the signage off.
